hipstamatic WHAT??

so, I know I am a little late on the bandwagon when it comes to the iphone + hipstamatic application...
BUT SO WHAT.....it's unbelievably awesome.  I have been known to bring my big daddy camera
everywhere I go...yes, everywhere!... because you just never know when a moment needs to be captured.

anyway....now I have a new obsession.  yes, it involves my new phone {her name is darby btw} and all
the cool applications you can buy.  right now...hipstamatic is numero uno in my book.  so, big daddy camera
gets to stay home safe and out of harms way while the boys & I venture out around town.  it's really super
good times!!

anyway, i have had "darby" since Sunday afternoon.  so, these are my favorite shots so far.  i am sure it
will now become a weekly blog post of my weekly fav's.

anyone interested in a session taken just by the hipstamatic application?  {totally kidding...sort of..hee hee}

jonathan + niki middle tennessee maternity photographer

So, this is sweet mom & dad to be, Jonathan + Niki.  Can you believe she is having TWIN BOYS?
And, due in May....unbelievable, right?  Yes, it is obviously possible to look this fantastic while
pregnant and having twins.  {don't tell T Rose because I didn't even come CLOSE to looking this
beautiful...and I only had 1 bun in the oven each time}.  Anyway, lucky girl!  But, what is even more
wonderful is this mom is just as beautiful on the inside.  So, I feel so very lucky to now call her a friend.

Everything about this session was perfect.  The day was 60+, the setting was gorgeous, mom looked super
cute, dad was an awesome side kick and sweet puppy dog maggie played the part perfectly!

Anyway, I loved this session.  Adored this couple.  And, look forward to getting to know them even more
when sweet Wyatt & Hayden are born.  I get to photograph these two baby boys their first year and
I couldn't be more thrilled!!

Dear Wyatt & Hayden -- you are already loved more than you will ever really know.  And, you are blessed
with 2 amazing parents.  I look forward to meeting you and capturing your perfection!!  See you very soon
sweet boys.

1st mini session saturday -- spring 2010

So, this past Saturday was the first EVER SRP mini's!  And, I do believe it was a success.  So far, I have
received...."WOW", "LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE", "Incredible", "I cried" &
"OMG"!  Now, that would tell me the event was a success!!

The initial plan was to only have 6 families...well, that quickly increased to 8!  And, that doesn't include
precious mom to be Niki who wasn't in the mini session category, but a full session at the end of the day.
So, needless to say it was b.U.s.Y day for me.  However, I enjoyed it very much.  I wasn't sure walking
away from the day how I would feel about quick 30 minute sessions.  Would I think it was too rushed,
would I enjoy the craziness, would I give each family sweet "moments captured"....I just didn't know.
Well, now that I am done editing all sessions I do believe I captured some sweet moments in each session.
And, now I know what to expect from a mini session day and what not to expect.  And, for those families
that had never been a part of a "mini session" now know what to expect.  You never know what you are
gonna get!  You just have to be open minded and let the good times roll!

Here is a MAJOR collage of my favorite's from the day.  I have to say I had a alot of favorite's.  Even some
that the clients didn't choose as their top 10!  Top 10 is what I asked each client to pick for the facebook

Question on a lot of people's minds....another SRP mini session day?  YES, but in the FALL.  So, stay
tuned!!

pierce hayden 8 days young middle tennessee newborn photographer

Ohhhh.....how I love me some new babies!!  Meet sweet 8 day young Pierce Hayden.  Such a gentle
soul already.  When I arrived at their home mom told me he sleeps most of the day, so I wanted to
make sure I got lots of photos of him with those beautiful eyes OPEN.  But, much to my liking...this little
bug wanted to stay awake the entire time.  I guess I didn't bore him enough to fall asleep.  LOL

His sweet mom {and GORGEOUS...she seriously just had a baby?} is the twin sister of a dear friend of
mine from when I worked in the corporate world, so I knew I was going to fall in love with Heather if she
was anything like Amanda.  She was.  Sweet, honest and beautiful inside & out!  Dad is in.love with this boy.
It was all just so very sweet.  I look forward to getting to know them so much better over the next year...
seriously, we are going to see each other every 3 months so we might as well be related!

Pierce...sweet boy.  I adore you to pieces and look forward to capturing your handsome smile and precious
eyes over the next year!  Don't grow too much!

tyler's mommy, momma...sometimes just {MOM}

So, my 3 year old sweet boy Tyler Drake has recently used the phrase "okay, MOM" when answering
me.  Seriously!  Seriously.  This child is not a child...he's a toddler.  I told him he's not allowed to call me
"mom" or his daddy "dad" until he's atleast 15 years old!  Yes, I am totally serious about this folks.

What happened to my baby boy, born under 7 lbs in Plano, Texas??.....He is now 33 lbs and calling me
"MOM".  And, t rose wonders why I get baby fever.??!!  LOL

So, yes...still waiting on the UPS man to deliver me my pause button so I can freeze moments like these
below and gasp.  My baby is now....a {big boy}. <---- in his eyes atleast.  TO ME...he will always be
my baby boy.

john ingle 9 months middle tennessee baby photographer

I can't believe this little handsome prince is 9 MONTHS OLD!!  It seems just yesterday I was at his home
photographing his 6 month photos!

Well, I was happy when I saw that the weather was going to be absolutely gorgeous.  His 3 month AND
6 month session we were stuck inside because of bad weather.  And, oh boy...I do believe the sunshine makes
a big difference in even the smallest of people.  He was one of the happiest babies today and I loved every
minute of it.  He gets me every time with that super red hair and those striking blue eyes.  It's a "john ingle" staple
is what mom says.  And, I couldn't agree more.

I am already looking forward to his 1 year session.  Mom & I were planning away today on what fun things
we are gonna do for that big event!  I am so excited, BUT FIRST....let's get to these super cute...I love every
single one of them 9 month photos of Mr. John Ingle.  Adorable lil bug if I do say so myself.

See you in 3 SHORT months precious boy.  I already miss those blue eyes!! :(

I was excited about this family from the minute I knew I would be photographing them!  I knew mom & dad
to be such a fun couple so I could only imagine what the Meredith family was like now with 2 kiddos!!

We started out at their home.  I think I am liking this approach because I get to know the kiddos in their
element FIRST.  And, well ...when mom put on the handy manny hat & tool set I knew I was in for a
fun time!  {LOL}  We eventually moved down to Cannonsburgh.  Mom & Dad wanted some rustic
shots...so that is where we went!!  As we were walking out the door I asked Kerri to grab rain boots,
hats, costumes...anything.  GOOD CALL!  Lil Cohen got to be a super hero for the day & fly high into
the sky!

It was such a great session filled with laughter, silly moments, genuine smiles, sweet kisses, & true
honest love.  I love to witness such blessings and to be able to capture it for their entire family is just
so wonderful.

Meredith Family -- Hope you guys had such a blast with me Saturday morning.  I know I walked away
with a big smile.  Hope I get to see all of you really soon!

Sweet Sweet Stella.  Yesterday was her Baptism.  You know, I can't get through a wedding and now I know
a Baptism without crying.  It was so special and I am so humbled to have been asked to capture it.

Meet 3 year old Sophia.  Beautiful, sweet, outgoing & stubborn.  My kind of GIRL!
She is not from around here....she is an East Coast girl.

Meet 3 month old Stella.  Adorable, precious & one lucky little girl to have such a BIG family that
loves her so very much.

See, Stella's entire family traveled near and far to be apart of something truly special.  Stella's Baptism.
You can see those sweet images here.  But, Aunt Jenny wanted me to come by the night
before the big day to capture these cutie pie cousins.  I just loved them.   And, I just adored how
much LOVE was in that one house.  {think, cousins...uncles...aunts...grandparents...etc}.  So sweet.

Sophia -- Sweet Girl.  I sure hope I get to see you again.  And, I hope you loved your purple balloon.!!
Christopher -- You precious boy.  You tell your parents you want to take photography lessons from me, so
I can see your sweet face again!

Feelin' ALOT like SPRING around here my friends! II

So, we did it again...went to one of our favorite spots and enjoyed THIS WEATHER.  Is this not just
heaven sent...has to be!

But, anyway....Daddy {t rose} surprised the boys & I today.  Such a great surprise!






Such a GREAT DAY!!  Hope YOU were able to enjoy it...even for 5 minutes!

Feelin' ALOT like SPRING around here my friends!

Oh my how I L.O.V.E. days like today.  Windows up, happy mommy, happy kiddos, picnic at one of
my favorite spots with my 2 lovies, blue skies, 60+ degrees & FLIP FLOPS!  It really can't get much
better...well, if daddy {t rose} could join us we would be SET!

Looking forward to all the wonderful Spring photos outside.....just.can't.wait!

So, my dear friend, will turn 30 together this year, photography is our passion, family is our life, almost have the
same brain, also named SARA {but she has an "h" at the end of her name}...I really could go on

So, what does a "Day in the Life" with Sarah B Gilliam mean??  To me, it means a day with one
amazing photographer who will spend the day with our family capturing LIFE.  Real Life.  Capturing
what our family does in a typical day.  How amazing?  I thought at first it wasn't okay for me to enter
because I am a photographer, but then I thought WHY NOT?  I would love to have a story teller like
her capture our life in one day. I can tell my boys how we lived, how we loved, but how awesome to
SHOW them in black & white...OR ...color.
