The sweet Carter family! Kaydee found me through a dear highschool friend of mine. I was so excited
to meet her and the rest of the bunch at the Factory in Franklin. Most people want the barn
background which I LOVE, but I was excited about the change! Cool brick walls, old windows, neat corners...awesome place! And, I am so looking forward to heading back there this coming weekend
to photograph another cute family.

I loved being able to capture some different (fun!) expressions of she & hubby Brian's kiddos!
We had a great time. And, I hope they call me again next year because the camera loves all of them.

Misty, Jay, J, MG + MH | Nashville Tennessee Family Photographer

You know when you meet some people they just warm your heart? Well, this entire family did that to
me this past weekend. I so enjoyed my session with Misty + Jay and their adorable kiddos. Jonathan
(big bro) was great! Madi Grace was just as fun as can be! And, sweet Molly Hope was seeing some
things for the first time!

Molly Hope was brought home from China less than 2 months ago. And, I couldn't imagine a better
family for her. Misty + Jay are celebrating 10 years of marriage this year (actually it's now 10.5!).
 Their love for one another and their entire family is undeniable. I feel blessed to now call this family
my friends.

Here are just a few of my favorites. There are a big chunk of photos I can't display because they are
"top secret". But after their Christmas cards are delivered I will share a few of them!

Now this is a salon everyone should know about and check out! Haute Salon & Spa in Hillsboro
Village is owned by my dear friend, Krista. Amazing stylist who is surrounded by other extremely
talented stylists, aestheticians and massage therapists!

They are currently re-vamping their website and she asked if I would stop in, take some cool shots of

I took my boys to a place that I have always wanted to take pictures. So, without hesitation this morning
I got them ready and we were off! The leaves were just as vivid as you could only dream. Perfect
weather, perfect back drop, boys did great & best yet...I believe I have my Christmas card photo
now!! It's a good thing because I usually get our cards out the first week of December.....which will be
here before we know it! Here are just a few of my favorites.

karsyn's 1st birthday | nashville children's birthday photographer

It really is such a small world. I ran into sweet mom Cassie at Hobby Lobby earlier this year. We
got to talking and realized that a mutual friend of ours had purchased a SWL shirt from me as a baby
gift for Cassie when precious Karsyn was born. So, every now and again Cassie + I have worked with
one another on shirts for Karsyn. It wasn't until recently that she inquired if I would be interested
in photographing her daughters first birthday party. Photojournalistic style.....!!....which is exactly how
I like to capture moments, so I didn't hesitate and took on the challenge.

The party was at Monkey Treehouse in Nashville. Such a neat place and perfect for young tots! Mom
hired (her sister) to wear a super cute Monkey costume since the theme was all about Monkeys. She
also did all the catering, packaged up super cute treat bags & in lue of presents asked that guests
bring books! Needless to say Karsyn got some amazing books that she will enjoy for a very long time.
So, I just sat back and snapped away. Didn't ask anyone to smile....just captured real life moments. It
was a lot of fun! Only thing we missed out on was sweet Karsyn digging into her birthday cake. Tired
punkin passed out and didn't get to enjoy it!

I hope years from now she will look back at the 200+ images I took and know that she is deeply
loved & blessed beyond measure.

Happy 1st Birthday, Karsyn! Hope these memories will last a lifetime.

I don't even know where to begin except by telling you that as soon as I met baby b's mom I knew we
would be great friends. I just adore her. And, now she + hubby Tim have this precious prince that I have
the honor of photographing his first year of life! Here he is...10 days young. Baby B was wonderful
and because of him I now want to photograph every newborn out there.
Here are just a few of my favorites...it really was hard to choose.

See you at 3 months little fella.......don't grow too much!

brian, libby + mason | nashville tennessee family photograher

I called Libby yesterday and asked if we could move her session up an hour. I know that is a lot to ask
when you have a kiddo. (remember...I have 2 under the age of 3!) She told me she had to check with
her "baby wrangler" first. I thought that is hilarious...she is calling her husband a "baby wrangler". Well, to
my surprise it was not her sweet hubby Brian she was referring to, but Ms Elizabeth. She is Libby's friend
and "baby wrangler" when it comes to family portraits. She comes to any session to help the
photographer out, help mommy out, & in this case...Mason out. Genius! Such an adorable family.
 I hope I get to photograph them again soon!
