{photography 101}

I could write a book about what wed 2.10.2010 meant to me, but I will just say that it was another
great day with some AH-mazing photographers who I now can all call my friends.

The fabulous and extremely talented Sarah B. Gilliam sent out an email a few weeks back to about
half a dozen or so photographers asking if we would be interested in getting together for an entire day just
for fun to shoot??  ABSOLUTELY.  And, it was everything and beyond I imagined it would be.

We met at the most amazing venue downtown Nashville.  If you are needing a cool place to have any
kind of party, reception, etc...check out the aVenue on 3rd.  Thank you for letting us all use the awesome
space for the day!!

See sarah's blog here to see some of the behind the scenes action!

We were blessed with some of the most beautiful models, an aspiring fashion designer, a blue grass musician,
beautiful wedding gowns, some amazing props....{seriously, I could go ON}.  But, to be surrounded
by some unbelievable photographers made Wednesday one of the best days of my life.

I am sure you have heard of all these wonderful artists...but, if you haven't CHECK them out!

{snowflakes} | nashville tennessee photographer

I was in a class a few weeks back that my boys school held about the importance of reading
to our kiddos.  What it does to their mind, your relationship with them..
I could go on and on about the PROS of it.  During the class the teacher showed us this one book that
definitely caught my interest.  It was about a man who spent his entire life photographing snowflakes
then putting them under the microscope to see all of their different shapes.

How wonderful & amazing.  His name was Wilson "Snowflake" Bentley.

"Under the microscope, I found that snowflakes were miracles of beauty; and it
seemed a shame that this beauty should not be seen and appreciated by others.
Every crystal was a masterpiece of design and no one design was ever repeated.,
When a snowflake melted, that design was forever lost. Just that much beauty was
gone, without leaving any record behind."

Perfect example of how important it is to {leave a record of a moment, of something and
even someone in time} with photography.

tiffany + erion | nashville tennessee engagement photographer

I will say this over and over again, but it is so true.  I LOVE couples.  I LOVE photographing them.
I LOVE being able to tell a story when I photograph them.

Meet the {just stepped out of GQ} Tiffany & Erion.  Stunning.  The both of them.  And, the best
part is they are just as beautiful on the inside.

We started out at Cheekwood because that is where E proposed.  Stayed there for a short time and then
headed on to downtown Nashville.  We had such a great time.  I loved that they trusted me and just
went with it.  And, in turn..I adore everything about this session.

Congratulations Tiffany & Erion.  I wish you all of the happiness in the world.  I sure hope this isn't the
last time I see you guys.
